The Jewish Hundred is a Jewish Division (not the formation term but section) or unit of the Right Sector conglomerate initially consisting of 100 Jews mainly from Ukraine, commanded by Nathan Khazin, a Jewish fighter from Israel with dual Israeli Ukrainian passport.
Though mainly formed by Ukrainian Jews, soon the Jews from other countries and Israeli-Ukrainian heritage also joined the group.
It was after the one of the founders Andrei Balitsky left the Right Sector for its openness to Jews. The neo-Nazi group was ready to abandon the initially inherited political belief of Antisemitism and understanding the requirement of situation they softened their line and views on Jews.
The formation of Jewish Hundred gave the Right Sector an easy counter to the Russian narrative that Ukrainian volunteer corps are Neo-Nazis.
The flag reflected the ideology of the group- the conjunction of Ukrainian Nationalism and Judaism, the Star of David in the middle of the red and black flag.
Reportedly the group consists of a number of war veterans from Israel's dreaded Golani and Givati Brigade along with professional mercenaries from Israel.
